Paraphrasing

2018 August 01 | by

Paraphrasing consists in summarizing in one’s own words what one or more people have stated, asking for confirmation of whether or not the summary is correct. The outcome then forms a common knowledge base. It is made up of a premise, the subject being verified (i.e. a summary of a set of information and/or concepts), and a concluding closed-ended question.

The definitions you find in the glossary claim to be neither exhaustive nor rigorous: they are reported here to help people who want to know more about the meaning of specific terms or topics.
